As a young girl in Romania, Anca was fascinated by sewing. Anca was inspired to become a fashion designer by watching her mother Maria sew her own clothes. Fabrics and patterns, cuts and thread, enticed and charmed the little girl, who later would build a life around her childhood dream. Anca's formal studies include a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion Design from the Faculty of Arts in Timisoara, Romania, and a Bachelor's Degree from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale, FL. In 2005, Anca opened her Atelier in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where she has her own bridal line and designs custom wedding gowns.
Anca's designs are strongly influenced by European Vintage styles as well as Old Hollywood glamour and sophistication. Her work creates a uniquely feminine style of softness and strength combined.
Today Anca maintains the Atelier, her design studio, in two locations: Fort Lauderdale, Florida and Arad, Romania where Anca's sister Alina creates marvelously intricate hand made embroideries and accessories, which decorate many of Anca's finished pieces. Through the years the sisters have perfected their teamwork, working together across the ocean to make some of the most magical gowns to grace a blushing bride's big day. Anca's dresses embody feminine visions of beauty and delight. Made by hand from fine silks, French laces, and gemstone encrusted embellishments, her wedding gowns create svelte silhouettes that flow naturally with the lines of the body.
